Robin Connell is a certified Personal Trainer and nutritionist with almost twenty years of experience in the field.  She has worked with celebrities such as David Hasselhoff and Beth Chapman as well as many professional athletes.  Robin emphasizes the importance of strengthening the body's core muscle groups and creating an inner stability to build upon.  Although it is important to be happy with the way you appear on the outside, it is much more essential to be content with who you are on the inside.  Without a strong interior, there can not be a fit exterior.  Overall, Robin stresses putting in the time and effort to achieve your health and fitness goals because doing this will improve the general quality of your life.  She knows that leading an active lifestyle is especially essential as we grow older.  The time to start is NOW!  Here are a series of basic exercises to help you  on your way toward better fitness.

Incline Dumbbell Chest Press

Set Up:
Sit on the bosu ball with the small of your back testing on the ball. Next, lean back to approximately a 35 degree angle and hold the dumbbells with palms facing away (they should be slightly wider than shoulder width apart). Extend your arms up over your chest.

Action:
Lower the dumbbells in a slow, controlled movement by bending your arm until your elbows hover just above your chest.  Then, return to the starting position by expanding your arms.

Repeat!
